The SDD Heritage and the Mount Kinabalu

SDD Heritage may be small in size, but it rich in local berries, fruits and local herbs. This includes ragimot, mob-polah, local guava, vanilla berries, tandaramai, tuhau, bunga kantan and many more. When we start redeveloping SDD Heritage in 2013, it is our intention and part of our effort to attract birds that disappeared when SDD Heritage was transformed into conventional vegetables farming for close to 30 long years. SDD Heritage is now home to many birds such as mob-porak, luhui, pimpikau, buhou and many smaller birds. Lately, we have seen squirrels enjoying the berries within the area.

If you happened to stay at Sinurambi, Sulap Dahai, Rosebud or Soboroong Farmer’s Cottage, you might be awakened by the early morning singing of the birds; just in time for you to enjoy the sight of the magnificent Mt Kinabalu at dawn.

At SDD heritage you are well protected by the Majestic Mount Kinabalu. As you wake-up in the early morning the Mt Kinabalu is looking down at you just to make sure that you are safe to enjoy the first sight of its beauty and magic as the early morning mist cleared-up.

The splendor beauty of the Mt Kinabalu is right in front of your eyes; as the morning mist gets heated up and started evaporating into the thin air exposing the magic bluish rocky face of the mountain; at the same time, enjoying the cool air at SDD Heritage makes you “Koloyoong” with complete serenity. This is Mt Kinabalu at SDD Heritage…

Welcome to appreciate our Koloyoongan Walk & Garden at SDD Heritage Soboroong!!!

Note: Koloyoong - a Dusun word means “calm and peaceful”
